X-Matrix LLP has received a registration certificate for the X-Graft medical device
The Kazakh development has gone from a clinical idea to a registered medical device, continuing the work of the scientist who stood at its origins.
On July 27, 2026, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan issued X-Matrix LLP registration certificate No. RK MI (IMN)-0No. 031178 for the medical device "Xenogenic biological coating X-Graft".
X-Graft is registered and approved for use in medical practice in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The product belongs to the 3rd class of safety — medical devices with a high degree of risk. The manufacturer, the production site and the authorized representative is X-Matrix LLP.
The registration certificate is issued indefinitely.
From a clinical problem to a domestic technology
The initiator of the creation of a domestic biological coating was Kabylbek Rizabekovich Abugaliev, Candidate of Medical Sciences, traumatologist—combat surgeon of the highest category, chief combat surgeon of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Head of the Department of Multidisciplinary Surgery of JSC National Scientific Center of Oncology and Transplantology.
For more than 30 years, he has devoted himself to the treatment of patients with severe burns and the development of domestic hygiene medicine, combining clinical practice with scientific work. In 2014, under his leadership, a biological dressing based on an extracellular matrix was developed and patented with the participation of specialists from the National Center for Biotechnology. This development later became the basis of the X-Graft technology platform.
A business that lives on
Kabylbek Rizabekovich Abugaliev passed away on April 28, 2021. He did not live to see the moment when the development he initiated received state registration and moved on to the stage of industrial production.
However, his work continued. Today, X-Graft is no longer just a scientific development, but a registered medical device manufactured in Kazakhstan. Its creation is based on years of research, clinical experience and technological work of specialists who continued to develop the idea he laid down.
For X-Matrix LLP, obtaining a registration certificate is not only an important regulatory step, but also the continuation of the scientific legacy of a doctor and scientist who sought to create a domestic solution for the real needs of patients.
Kabylbek Abugaliev is not around today, but his idea lives on — in X-Graft technology, the work of doctors and scientists, and the opportunity to apply domestic developments for the benefit of patients.
